Everton ‘want’ Udinese’s Beto in the summer after having failed to secure his services in the winter market, according to Mondo Udinese.
The Toffees made an attempt to sign the striker in January but their offer was turned down by the Serie A side. They have continued to maintain interest in him for several months.
Having avoided relegation from the Premier League, Everton could ‘reopen negotiations’ that they started in the last window.
Udinese have no intention of selling the 25-year-old, unless there’s a [proposal of at least €35m. The Merseyside club wouldn’t have any issues to meet the fee mentioned.
It’s claimed the ‘negotiations are bound to heat up’, likely between Everton and Udinese, for the Portuguese forward.
Over at Udinese Blog, they have a report titled: ‘Everton always aim for Beto’. Within the report, it’s stated Sean Dyche’s side failed to sign him because they came in late, leaving Udinese with insufficient time to find a replacement in January.
Everton’s proposal then was around €25m and will have to ‘raise their offer’ to €30m to acquire Beto’s signature in the next window. The price quoted is €5m less than mentioned by Mondo Udinese.
