Everton have agreed a deal to sign Youssef Chermiti, according to claims from Portugal.

ZeroZero says that following a ‘short, but profitable stay’ at Sporting, the striker is now heading to Goodison Park.

Everton and the Lions reportedly found a deal worth €15m, plus performance goals. The Lisbon side are keeping 10% of a future sale.

ZeroZero point out that Chermiti wasn’t able to have big impact in his only season at Sporting, despite showing good potential for the future.

The player is a product of the Lions’ academy, and since his promotion to the first team, he had three goals and two assists in 22 appearances.

In the past couple of weeks, we’ve seen many stories claiming Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bournemouth were interested in Chermiti.

It was reported more than once that an offer from the Cherries was expected this week, while Sporting were demanding €20m for the transfer.

Now it seems that Everton were not only quicker, but also worked well to find a more reasonable deal with the Portuguese club.
