As Yerry Mina gets close to the end of his contract with Everton, it becomes clear that he’ll soon be leaving the club.
The centre-back only has four appearances for the Toffees this season, having last played in January, and isn’t expected to have his deal renewed.
Brazilian journalist André Hernan now shares an update on this situation, pointing out that Mina should indeed leave Everton in a couple of months.
The reporter got in touch with the defender’s entourage, who admitted that the player draws the interest from Brazilian clubs.
His staff acknowledged that clubs from the South American country ‘always approached’ the defender, and a move there is ‘not ruled out’.
Mina’s entourage, however, is said to be ‘handling this Everton issue’ before making the final decision on his future.
It’s not clear what’s being discussed with the Toffees right now, since Hernan himself claims the player is expected to leave.
Perhaps what they mean is that they’re handling the player’s departure as they analyse the bids there’ll be on the table, since becoming a free agent should give him many possibilities.
