The outlet starts by claiming that the Rossoneri are in big need for a new defender, and saw some ‘intermediaries’ offering Godfrey as a ‘low cost’ transfer.

The Everton player only has 180 minutes on the pitch this season, and hasn’t played in over a month.

Milan should just be aware that they wouldn’t be alone, as Leeds and Sheffield United are also said to be on his trail.

The report just doesn’t make it clear how much it’d cost to sign him from Everton, making it clear it’s a fair fight between the three clubs.

Godfrey’s contract with the Toffees runs until 2025, and he’s now valued by Transfermarkt at €8m.

With Italian clubs normally going for loans with an option to buy, especially at this stage of the season, perhaps Leeds and Sheffield United would have an advantage if going straight for a purchase.
