Last month, we covered a report from Corriere della Sera which reported Roma want to move Tammy Abraham on this summer. Multiple Premier League clubs have been linked but there’s not been anything remotely concrete.
Gianluigi Longari has now covered interest from Everton in Abraham and he claims the Toffees have now made their first enquiry for the former Chelsea man.
The report from Corriere della Sera had made it clear it isn’t just Roma who are keen to move Abraham on, but the player himself would gladly return to England this summer.
That is fairly encouraging for Everton, even though their move hasn’t gone beyond an enquiry yet, and may provide them with the impetus to go further.
Longari represents SportItalia and the outlet has a report which says the consequence of the initial contact remains to be seen.
Everton’s interest will almost certainly be conditional on what happens with Dominic Calvert-Lewin this summer. Should he stay then it’s unlikely the club would push forward for Abraham.
