The Italian media continues to point out Everton as one of the potential destinations for Roma defender Gianluca Mancini.
Last month, we had already seen local outlet Leggo claiming the Toffees were one of the sides monitoring the 24-year-old’s development at the Serie A side.
Now it’s Calcio Mercato who brings a longer piece on the player, claiming there are actually several big clubs keeping an eye on him.
Besides Everton, who ‘like him a lot’, the outlet adds Chelsea, Inter Milan, Juventus and Paris Saint Germain to the race for the defender.
Calcio Mercato says Roma spent around €24m to sign Mancini from Atalanta, including loan fees and performance bonuses. Even though he wasn’t cheap, they now believe he’s worth between €10m and €15m more.
It’s said that price won’t scare ‘the clubs from the Premier League’, perhaps showing that Everton and Chelsea would be strong in the competition.
No official bids have been made so far, and Roma’s intention would be to negotiate a new contract with him at the end of the season, as long as the player’s wish is the same.
