Everton are yet to make a concrete offer for Torino striker Andrea Belotti, who has already turned down the chance to join West Ham.
Belotti is expected to be hot property this summer, having scored 15 goals for the relegation-threatened Serie A side this season.
Everton have been strongly linked with making a move, with reports suggesting that Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan and that a €45m bid had already been rejected.
However, Tuttosport say that is not the case and despite the fact Ancelotti has a ‘substantial budget on paper’ their interest is yet to ‘find confirmation’.
One club who did was West Ham, who the centre-forward deemed were ‘not sufficiently attractive’ enough for him to accept.
When this West Ham offer was made, or the nature of it isn’t mentioned, just that Belotti wasn’t keen on move to the London stadium.
How he would respond to interest from Everton is not made clear either.
However, it’s easy to imagine they would be a far more attractive prospect given their upward trajectory and the presence of Carlo Ancelotti at Goodison Park.
Of course, that may be a question that may never be answered, with it a question of waiting to see if Everton ever turn their apparent interest into something more concrete.
