In the past couple of days, Everton have been linked with a move for Lazio’s Nuno Tavares, who is currently on loan from Arsenal.

The left-back has been toubled by injuries in recent weeks but across the season in Serie A, he’s racked up eight assists and has clearly made a mark with his running and chance-creation ability.

Corriere dello Sport, as relayed by LaLazioSiamoNoi, have reported about on defender’s future, revealing Lazio are already in talks with Arsenal to buy him permanently.

Their objective is to sell the left-back on due to his injury worries. They reiterate that Everton are interested and so are Fulham, with both clubs having made their moves for Tavares already.

The feeling is that if offers arrive, they will be taken into consideration.

LaLazioSiamoNoi also relay information from Il Messaggero, who provide further encouragement to Everton regarding a move.

They state that Tavares is valued at between €35m and €40m and in the past few days, Lazio president Claudio Lotito and sporting director Angelo Fabbiani held a meeting to decide the 25-year-old’s future.

They also suggest that the Rome club will consider a sale, if the right price is offered.
