Everton have ‘found an agreement’ with Idrissa Gana Gueye for him to return to the club from Paris Saint Germain this summer.
That’s according to Paris United and journalist Fabrice Hawkins, who both say Everton have now managed to reach an agreement with their former player.
The Toffees have been heavily linked with Gueye over the last few weeks, with Frank Lampard keen to improving his squad.
The deal had seemingly gone cold after the big-money arrival of Amadou Onana and a report from France today indicated that nothing was imminent.
This was not backed up by reports in England, where it was stated confidently that Everton were hoping to reach an agreement with the 32-year-old this week.
It seems they’ve now taken a major step towards doing so as both Paris United and Hawkins are reporting there is an ‘agreement found’ between Gueye and Everton.
That means the door is now open for him to return to Merseyside, particularly as Paris Saint Germain have the midfielder on their list of undesirables and are keen to move him on this summer.
