Wolverhampton Wanderers are in the picture to sign Eintracht Frankfurt’s Arthur Theate in the winter market.
Two days ago, the Premier League side improved their defence by signing Emmanuel Agbadou from Stade de Reims.
Despite this, Wolves want to further strengthen their defence and have set their sights on Theate. That’s according to L’Equipe, who provide the latest on the English club’s interest in the 24-year-old.
Last summer, the Bundesliga side took the centre-back on loan from Stade Rennais with an option to buy. He’s made 20 appearances in all competitions and his performances for Eintracht Frankfurt haven’t gone unnoticed in the Premier League.
L’Equipe state two clubs, Manchester United and ‘especially Wolverhampton’, are looking at the Belgium international and that’s all they have to say about the Red Devils. Their title says Vítor Pereira’s side ‘tempt’ Arthur Theate.
Within the report, it’s claimed Wolves are keen on signing the Belgium international, likely to please their manager.
It’ll ‘not be easy’ for the Molineux club to convince Theate and his camp to change clubs in this window, but L’Equipe haven’t provided reasons for that.
