The Merseyside club continue to be an interested party if the latest report from Het Laatste Nieuws is to be believed.

Jürgen Klopp’s side have sent scouts to watch the 19-year-old and after following him closely, they are convinced of his potential. Therefore, the Anfield club have already made enquiries for the Morocco international.
The attacking midfielder’s contract lasts until 2027 and the report states there’s a good chance he’ll make a ‘top transfer’ next summer.
Last November, Genk director Dimitri De Condé told HLN that his side are aiming to earn big from El Khannouss’ sale.
“I have always said to Bilal and his entourage that we believe he should become the most expensive outgoing transfer in Belgian football,” he said.
El Khannouss’ mother, Karima Ben Aissa, who is also his agent, confirmed contacts with interested parties.
“We are in contact with a few clubs. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a big name. Playing minutes take precedence,” she told HLN last week.
