Two days ago, Tuttosport explained Everton have informed Mino Raiola that they would be interested in a move for Stefan de Vrij.

The Toffees’ interest in the Inter Milan star has been further backed up by Calciomercato.

It’s said Premier League sides have set their sights on the defender, ‘especially Everton’ and Atlético Madrid from Spain.

The Serie A winners have so far not received any official proposal for the Netherlands international and in the event they get one, they will ‘think twice before evaluating it’.

For Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta and manager Simone Inzaghi, the centre-back is a vital part of the squad.

There is ‘no desire to sell’ the former Lazio man, who arrived at the San Siro as a free agent in 2018, but the position can change if the Nerazzurri were to receive an ‘important offer’, which would allow them to make a ‘rich capital gain’.

De Vrij has two years left on his contract and the duration left on his current deal isn’t a problem because Raiola has been informed about the Italian champions’ desire to extend it.

Inter have prepared a new offer until 2025, which includes a salary of €4.5 per season, and are waiting for their owner’s approval to go ahead with the renewal.

Everton are in the picture to sign De Vrij and if they were to submit an ‘important offer’, Inter will ‘think twice before evaluating it’.
