On May 3rd, AS stated Aston Villa are one of the clubs to have sent their scouts to closely follow Real Betis’ Luiz Henrique.
The winger managed three goals and seven assists last season and was regularly watched by officials of other clubs, according to Friday’s AS.
Only Aston Villa are mentioned and it’s said they have followed the 22-year-old ‘insistently’ last season.
The La Liga side are looking at a few of their players who could help them raise funds and the Brazilian is identified as one of those who could become a ‘source of money’ in the summer. He has a €100m clause and AS say no one so come close to half of that figure.
Betis sold Álex Moreno to Unai Emery’s side in January and this deal has helped the two clubs develop a good relationship.
Taking this into account, the report states there’s ‘already a path made’, if Aston Villa decide to buy Henrique in the summer.
