Brighton & Hove Albion’s Moisés Caicedo is appreciated by several clubs. That’s according to the Ecuador international’s compatriot and Seagulls teammate, Pervis Estupiñán.

Appearing as a guest on Ecuador TV, relayed by ESPN, the left-back admitted he and his Brighton teammates are worried about losing Caicedo in the summer.

“I think that having a player of Moi’s [Moisés ] category, that many teams would like him, we all fear that he will leave us,” he said.

“As I have always said to him, if he stays I will be very happy to play by his side, to continue enjoying his football.”

Arsenal showed firm interest in signing the midfielder in January and even tabled multiple bids, which were turned down by Brighton. This was also revealed by Caicedo’s agent back in February.

Recent reports in the English press have indicated the Gunners, Chelsea and Manchester United are looking to sign the 21-year-old. Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi has also admitted the South American could leave The Amex in the summer.

The defender is aware of the possibility of losing Caicedo and even sent a message to his teammate if that’s the case.

“I would wish him all the best wherever he is because he is a good boy, a good professional, a good worker, a machine, a beast as a playerIf he leaves, then we will face him. I only ask him not to put his body into me because he is very strong, ” Estupiñán explained.

Brighton have already sold Alexis Mac Allister to Liverpool on Thursday and Caicedo is another star they could sell in the summer window.
