On Monday, Estadio Deportivo reported Luis Palma is very close to joining Rayo Vallecano after they found an agreement with Brendan Rodgers’ side for a loan deal in the winter market.
Later that day, Diez in Honduras reported the winger’s move to Spain won’t go through as FIFA have banned Rayo Vallecano from registering players for three windows. Marca and others in Spain also covered the ban after it was published on FIFA’s official website.
Deportes TVC say the Celtic player’s move to the La Liga side is back on and explain the reasons.
They insist Rayo Vallecano won’t be stopped from registering new players, and have found out there’s been no punishment handed out by FIFA.
In fact, the report states confusion yesterday was created because of an ‘administrative error’, due to the Spanish club’s refusal to make a payment of an ‘insignificant’ amount.
This is certainly good news for the Celtic player as he can arrive in Spain on a loan deal in this window. The report points out the agreement in place between Rayo Vallecano and the Scottish champions for the Honduras international’s transfer.
In short, Palma’s move to Rayo Vallecano is back on and could go through in the next few days.
