West Ham United are still the most likely destination for Tammy Abraham this summer, with Roma wanting €25m for him if he is to leave.

That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who say West Ham remain the ‘most popular destination’ for the striker.

Roma are currently focused on potential exits before the end of the window, with Abraham one of those they’d be happy to move to move on after signing Artem Dovbyk.

They’re doing work ‘on the English market’ and West Ham remain the most likely destination for the striker after AC Milan started to pull away.

‘€25m is needed’ if a deal is to be closed, with that sum enough to give director of football Florent Ghisolfi power to work on additions in the final stretch of the window.

Whether West Ham would be willing to pay such a figure, or even capable of paying it, is up for debate though.

They’ve already spent big strengthening Julen Lopetegui’s squad this summer and spent €27m on Niclas Füllkrug. He is likely to be first choice striker, so another €25m on a rotation option seems unlikely.

They’re being seen as the leaders for Abraham’s signature in Italy either way, so it may be something to keep an eye on over the next week.
