With the season soon coming to an end, it’s time for Manchester United to make a decision on the future of midfielder Marcel Sabitzer.

Since the loan agreement with Bayern Munich included no buying option, the Red Devils would need to enter negotiations for a permanent move.

Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has some updates about that, saying the Bundesliga side have set a price for his sale.

According to the reporter, Bayern Munich would request €25m to negotiate his exit to Manchester United this summer.

It’s said that the Red Devils are interested in buying the 29-year-old. However, there are ‘no developments’ in the talks because of the uncertainty regarding the club’s ownership.

Despite the €25m claim, a lower fee is surely possible.

Plettenberg also claims that Manchester United have other priorities for their squad. The first are said to be a centre-back and a striker. Then they’d move for a midfielder.

Since his arrival at Old Trafford in the January transfer window, Sabitzer has made 18 appearances, with three goals and one assist. He’s currently sidelined with a meniscus issue, and his return date is unknown.
