‘It’s done’.

That’s how Gianluca Di Marzio sees Robin Olsen’s move to Sheffield United on Tuesday afternoon, claiming ‘everything is ready’ for the player’s departure from AS Roma.

The Blades have been on the market for a new goalkeeper since the departure of Aaron Ramsdale, who signed for Arsenal earlier in the month, and the Sweden international was immediately linked.

Sheffield United clearly left it very late, but it appears they are about to get their man on a ‘dry loan’, meaning they will pay no fee up front and the player will return to Rome come the end of the season.

There is also no option to buy, meaning that if Olsen impresses at Bramall Lane, the Championship side will have to start negotiations with the Serie A club from scratch.

Either way, a goalkeeper appears to be on his way to Sheffield United, where he’ll try and get the club back up the table after their miserable two points from the first five games of the campaign.
