Earlier today we brought you a report that stated Monaco right-back Djibril Sidibé was set to join Everton this summer.
The initial transfer talk was short on details, with RTL journalist Bertrand Latour stating that the move will happen.
SoccerLink have now backed up the claims, though, and while short on the details themselves, say that Sidibe will be heading to Goodison Park on loan initially, with the deal including a purchase option.
It’s not made clear if Everton are paying a fee, or what the potential transfer fee at the end of the move would be, just that those are the basic terms of the arrangement.

Regardless, a loan move instead of a permanent deal makes sense for Everton at this stage. They get the right-back and competition for Seamus Coleman they need without spending time, energy or significant funds to do so.
Furthermore, it gives them a chance to get a proper look at Sidibé throughout next season, particularly in regards to his fitness, and whether a permanent move would make sense.
Edit: L’Equipe have published a bit more information on the matter, claiming Everton will pay €2.5m up front and be able to buy him for €14m if they so wish.
