Whether Cristiano Giuntoli has travelled to London just yet isn’t said, but if he hasn’t, he will be there very soon, as Corriere dello Sport explain that talking with West Ham United is on his agenda.
The Juventus director has been planning a trip to England to hold talks with various Premier League clubs about potential deals, including the Hammers for Denis Zakaria.
West Ham have been linked with the Switzerland international for a very long time now, with negotiations taking place throughout, as the two clubs try and find a common ground for the midfielder’s transfer.
Monday brought some hope to it all, with a claim that Juventus had found an agreement with three different clubs, and it was up to Zakaria to choose his next destination.
West Ham were one of those, and now, Corriere dello Sport seem to suggest it could be the Premier League side that win the race.
That’s because the director will be ‘in London’ to sit down with the Hammers so he can unblock the situation ‘once and for all’.
The idea would be to recoup €20m for the player despite his rather poor loan at Chelsea last season after Juventus spent €10.1m to sign him from Borussia Mönchengladbach in January 2022.
