Despite Tiago Pinto taking a few days of rest after his intense talks with various clubs before June 30th, the transfer window never sleeps.
That’s because AS Roma are still interested in Gianluca Scamacca, who is seeking an exit from West Ham United, and more movement could take place.
This comes from Corriere dello Sport, who claim that the Serie A side will have more ‘contact’ with the Hammers ‘in the next few days’ for the Italian striker.
Once Pinto’s brief holidays are over, ‘it is not excluded’ that he could ‘personally go to London’ in order to negotiate with West Ham and ‘try to snatch an agreement’ for the Italy international.
The ball is firmly in the court of the London Stadium side, and there is hope that once the Declan Rice transfer goes through, the stances surrounding the refusal of a loan with an option to buy ‘can soften’.
Scamacca remains the ‘first objective’ to bolster Roma’s front line ahead of the new campaign, as they wait for Tammy Abraham to fully recover from his serious knee injury.
As for the striker in all this, he remains in Sardinia, training and ‘waits for news’.
