For a while now, we have seen a number of stories claiming that Juventus are interested in Charlie Patino, owned by Arsenal but on loan at Swansea.

There were even some strong claims that a move could be made in January for the player, which clearly hasn’t happened, but that doesn’t mean the Turin side are not interested.

Calciomercato.it have a big article on Friday about some of the moves Juventus could make in the future, as they focus on a younger generation of transfers, and the Arsenal midfielder is brought up.

They state that Patino, who is 20 years of age, is a player the Serie A side have been following ‘for a long time’ by Cristiano Giuntoli, who took over as the man in charge of transfers not too long ago.

He was previously at Napoli, but it’s said that Juventus ‘did not sink the blow’ for the Arsenal loanee, perhaps because of his current situation, already being out on a temporary deal.

There will also be the price the Gunners have in mind for a player that has long been touted as one of the next best things to come out of the Emirates academy, having joined the London club from Luton’s youth setup back in 2015.

It sounds like if a move is to be made, it would be in the summer, when it makes far more sense, and a lot will depend on what Mikel Arteta has in mind for the youngster going forward.
