The Turkish media today sounds quite excited about Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg moving from Tottenham Hotspur to the Super Lig.
A story from Aksam claims there’s been a ‘flash development’ in this chase, as the midfielder is ‘on the road’ to a Turkish transfer.
The outlet starts by claiming that Hojbjerg is surely leaving Tottenham at the end of the season.
Then it’s said that the player’s agent is in touch with Turkish clubs, and has even travelled to the country for talks. An approach had already taken place last summer, and the chance of a transfer is now much bigger.
Even though Hojbjerg turned down a move to Turkey back then, his certain departure from Tottenham could now change the scenario. It’s said new developments are expected in the coming days.
We must just point out that the story is sounding overly confident that Turkish clubs are the favourites to land the player, because the Italian media has also been speaking about the interest from Serie A sides for a while now.
Atletico Madrid were even linked and whilst that specific claim felt exaggerated, it shows that the Tottenham player is perhaps considered higher in the market than being offer around Super Lig clubs.
