Jadon Sancho’s return to Borussia Dortmund from Manchester United has been ‘delayed’ as there is still no complete agreement between the two clubs.
That’s according to Sky Germany, who say the negotiations continue for now and the issue are ‘dragging on’ for the moment.
They explain that final details on the loan still need to be clarified and it is currently unlikely that Dortmund will secure a purchase option in the loan deal. It is equally unlikely that he will be part of Dortmund’s training camp in Marbella this Friday.
Sancho, for his part, has already agreed to leave Manchester United on loan for his former club until the end of the season.
He is now waiting for the green light from Manchester United, where he is not a part of manager Erik ten Hag’s plans moving forwards.
However, it seems that is yet to arrive as the two clubs continue to negotiate the finer details of the move before striking an agreement.
Given reports that Manchester United were paying the majority of Sancho’s wages during the loan, perhaps it is that which is holding things up.
Either way, things appear to have hit a bump in the road, and it now seems unlikely that the deal will be finalised as quickly as first hoped.
