While Liverpool are working hard to convince Southampton to sell Roméo Lavia, there are also other players the Reds are looking at.
One of these appears to be young defender Patrick Dorgu, who is currently contracted to US Lecce in Italy, and who has been strongly linked with the Reds.
His agent has spoken to Sport Italia on Tuesday, and reiterated that Liverpool are indeed interested in his client and could even go further than that.
Kingsley Ogbodo said he received information that the Anfield side want his client and he is aware that they are ‘following him’.
As previously stated in another interview back in Denmark, he strongly recommends his client to stay away from Liverpool for the time being, as he believes that a few more seasons in Italy could do him the world of good.
However, it will ultimately come down to Dorgu himself, who may be swayed by a move to Liverpool if it presented itself.
Ogbodo was then asked if any offers have arrived, to which he replied: “No, they haven’t made any offers, but it is very likely that Liverpool will make one. I don’t know if it will happen, but they are interested and they like the player.”
