Earlier this month, Tuttosport reported Liverpool’s €30m bid for Perr Schuurs was turned down by Torino. It was also stated the Reds would return with an improved offer to sign the defender in the summer window.
The 23-year-old’s fine form in his debut season in Serie A has caught the attention of several clubs, including Liverpool.
Today’s Tuttosport states Napoli are also in the picture but the centre-back favours a move to the Premier League.
He has a few suitors in England but the report states the ‘appeal’ to join Jürgen Klopp’s side is ‘much higher’ with both the player and his entourage. They also recall the bid made by Liverpool, which didn’t please Torino president Urbano Cairo and their technical director, Davide Vagnati.
Cairo is aware of the interest generated by the Dutchman and has set a €40m price tag on him.
This is further backed up by Calciomercato, who also name the Merseyside club as one his suitors.
It’s claimed the Torino president could offer a discount but ‘won’t go below €35m’ to sell Schurrs in this window.
Apart from Liverpool, Crystal Palace and West Ham United are also interested in Schurrs.
