One of the late transfer stories of this window for Manchester United, the interest in Jean-Clair Todibo is still a topic of conversation in France, and it’s affecting the player.
That’s according to Nice-Matin, who cover the centre-back’s situation on Friday, as the Red Devils continue to struggle to find Harry Maguire an exit avenue.
Close to signing for West Ham, the defender eventually turned down that option, allowing Benjamin Pavard to head to Inter Milan (although that isn’t done just yet) and making Manchester United focus their efforts on Todibo should an opening appear.
However, with what is going on at Old Trafford and exits hard to come by, it’s said the interest from the Premier League club has been ‘fluctuating these last few days’.
As things stand, an exit to Manchester United for Todibo isn’t something that looks likely, and the ‘uncertainty’ about his future has ‘unsettled’ him mentally.
There’s no denying that his manager, Francesco Farioli, would be glad to see him stay, but until the transfer window is fully shut, there’s no knowing what can happen, meaning everyone is on edge, including Todibo himself.
