With the end of the season getting closer, Barcelona are apparently already worried about the future of Clement Lenglet, who’s having a loan spell at Tottenham Hotspur.
As the Catalan side do not have plans for the defender at the Camp Nou, it’s now time to think of what to do with him in the summer.
That’s now reported by Fichajes. There, they analyse the ‘mixed destinations’ of four Barcelona loanees.
It’s said Barcelona see his permanent exit ‘favourably’, and in case Spurs do not try his signing, they’ll look for a new club who want to buy him.
The story recalls that Tottenham do not have a buying option over the 27-year-old, so a fee would still need to be negotiated with the Camp Nou side.
Lenglet is valued by Transfermarkt at €12m. He has 25 appearances for Spurs so far, but since it’s not even certain that Antonio Conte will stay at the club, it’s hard to see them taking a decision on the player’s future anytime soon.
