According to a claim in the Turkish media, Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadıoğlu has reached an agreement with Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Premier League side have been linked with the 27-year-old following his performances for Turkey at this summer’s Euros.
Sabah report today that Kadıoğlu could be on the verge of joining Brighton after they submitted a €35m offer. The left back was pulled out of last night’s Champions League qualifier against Lille through injury, but Sabah believe the reason is because he’s agreed to sign for the English side.
It’s claimed Fenerbahce will tomorrow make a decision on whether to accept the offer from the Seagulls, but it will be difficult for them to reject.
If the Yellow Canaries receive €35m for the Turkey international this will smash the transfer record for a player being purchased from the Super Lig, currently set at €30m.
Manchester United and Arsenal have also been linked with the defender this summer.
Kadıoğlu made 41 appearances for Fenerbahce last season, scoring 3 goals. He’s contracted to the Yellow Canaries until June 2026.
