Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen has been in the transfer rumour mill for weeks now, and any time it looks like he’s not being talked about, he or one of his entourage appear to grant an interview to get things going again.
Multiple Premier League clubs have been linked, including Arsenal, Liverpool, and – mainly – Chelsea.
Gianluca di Marzio reports Huijsen’s decision regarding his future is expected to arrive in the ‘next few hours’. The defender’s entourage and his father have visited several clubs including Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Bournemouth are clear about their demands and will not go below the player’s release clause, which stands at around £50m.
Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea have the major threat of Real Madrid contemplating a swoop, and Di Marzio believes that currently, Huijsen’s preferred destination is the Spanish giants.
The Italian journalist likely has an inside line here, largely because his website recently worked on an extensive documentary about Bournemouth and Huijsen was an important subject of that, and he was also spoken of in detail by Cherries’ sporting director Tiago Pinto.
