On Wednesday, Sky Germany reported AC Milan have now made a formal offer for West Ham’s Niclas Füllkrug.

The Italian side have put forward a loan with an option to buy. West Ham would prefer to let the German depart on a loan with an obligation to buy.

Despite this, the offer from the Rossoneri is being reviewed by West Ham and there’s confidence of closure. Today’s Corriere dello Sport reports the ‘deal appears to be closed’ for the Germany international.

Santiago Gimenez’s recent injury has forced Milan to accelerate a move for the striker. Füllkrug has already agreed personal terms with the Rossoneri and has rejected advances from Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg.

Corriere dello Sport state AC Milan offered West Ham a loan with a €10m purchase option. Whilst it’s again stated the Hammers would rather have an obligation, there’s confidence a transfer is close and it’s stated the ‘deal appears to be closed’.

Max Allegri’s side want to take the striker as soon as possible. They are aiming to make sure that Füllkrug undergoes a medical at the end of December, so he’s ready as soon as the window opens.
