Last week, news emerged that Tottenham were interested in signing Dani Rodriguez from Barcelona, with the LaLiga side worried they could lose their youngster to the Premier League club.
Spurs appear to be on a mission to sign as much young talent as possible as part of their long-term plan under Ange Postecoglou, and the 18-year-old is on the list of players they want.
His agent, Pini Zahavi, is said to be working on getting the best deal for his client, with Barcelona trying to get him to renew, and Mundo Deportivo have now snapped the representative leaving a meeting with Joan Laporta amid the Tottenham stories.
After all, he’s another of the dossiers managed by Zahavi, and with Tottenham lurking, it would make sense to take advantage of the situation to try and sort something out.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens in the coming weeks, but Spurs were said to be going all out, with perhaps this meeting a chance for the agent to try and see what Barcelona can counter offer with.
