Inter Milan don’t want to sell Mauro Icardi, and this is really frustrating the transfer market.
As we all already know, Napoli apparently want the Argentinean striker to replace Gonzalo Higuain, even with the signing of Arkadiusz Milik from Ajax, and Arsenal are also in the mix, as Arsène Wenger still haplessly roams the streets looking for his elusive striker signing.
It’s not all bad, though, if Il Mattino in Italy are to believed, because along the way, it seems the French manager bumped into none other than Wanda Nara in London, as the Italian newspaper report the Icardi’s wife/agent met with Arsenal yesterday (again) to discuss a potential transfer.
If that wasn’t enough, they also say today is ‘the day of truth’ regarding this particular saga.
As always, Inter remain the big stumbling block in this whole kerfuffle, but on the player’s side of things, the London club are apparently prepared to ‘cover him in gold’ if the Serie A side finally say ‘yes’ to a sale.
Il Mattino say it’s a ‘nice plot twist’, but it really isn’t.
The rumours surrounding this move have been going on for far too long with very little actually happening for it to be a ‘twist’.
Wanda Nara tried her best to make it clear on Twitter she was in London a while back, which got people excited, but nothing came of it.
Considering how unreliable transfer timelines are these days (48 hours, anyone?) , we’ll believe today being ‘truth day’ if something new happens.
