Palmeiras are set to work on a manoeuvre to hurry Nottingham Forest’s payment for Danilo, according to reports from Brazil.

It’s journalist Jorge Nicola who brings some details about the negotiations. He first came up with a story saying the money is arriving in three instalments.

Nottingham Forest are said to first be paying €2m as soon as Danilo passes his medical and signs the contract. Then there’s an €8m payment in October 2023, and another €8m in October 2024. That’s for the initial €18m, as the other €2m depends on performance bonuses.

It turns out Nicola then featured another video saying Palmeiras will trying to get an advance on those payments. The Brazilian side are said to be ‘concerned’ about their financial situation for 2023, and therefore will speak to a bank to get that money now, even if paying a fee or interest for that.

Danilo is expected to arrive in England to join Nottingham Forest in the coming days. The Reds managed to win a battle against AS Monaco to sign the player, with the midfielder himself playing a big part by choosing the move to the City Ground.
