According to a claim in the Turkish media, Everton are again showing interest in Galatasaray defender Elias Jelert.

The Dane has previously been linked with a move to Goodison Park after failing to make an impact since his move to the Super Lig champions in the summer.

Takvim report on the latest developments regarding the future of Jelert in Istanbul and say he could move on in this transfer window. It’s claimed the young right back is on Everton’s radar as they look to bolster their defensive options this month.

With Ashley Young and Seamus Coleman in their latter stages of their careers the Toffees could be looking to bring in cover.

The Turkish side are keen to sell Jelert in a permanent deal so they can bring in a replacement, and are expecting offers for the 21-year-old.

Gala will reportedly be looking to recoup the €9m they paid out for the Denmark international after they signed him from Copenhagen in the last transfer window.

Jelert has started just four league games since joining Galatasaray and is contracted to Cimbom until June 2029.
