With the transfer market coming to an end and a fresh season just started, it’s time for Premier League clubs to get back to doing their scouting job to find new targets for the upcoming windows.
That seems to be what Crystal Palace and West Ham United are already executing, because as reported by Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, both clubs had scouts at the league match between Gil Vicente and FC Porto.
The current champions continue to show their strength in the current season and now managed to get a 2-0 win away from home, with goals scored by Mehdi Taremi and Galeno.
It isn’t yet clear who Crystal Palace and West Ham had their eyes on, although Porto’s performance was good enough for all clubs who had scouts there to take a few notes from some players.
Taremi was one of them, with defender Diogo Costa and midfielder Stephen Eustaqui also getting big praising from the Portuguese media.
Last season, we saw Crystal Palace getting linked to Porto winger Pepê, who ended up playing as a right-back and had a decent game there.
West Ham, despite being frequently named in the Portuguese rumour mill, haven’t really chased any players from the Dragons of late.
