Crystal Palace and Queens Park Rangers are not part of the list of English sides who scout a lot of games in Portugal. Still, both London clubs had emissaries at Porto’s win against Vitória de Guimarães on Sunday.

It’s local newspaper O Jogo who reports their presence at the Estádio do Dragão, although it’s not pointed out who these officials were watching.

With 71% of ball possession, Porto had an easy 3-0 win over Vitória. The goals were scored by Moussa Marega, Ivan Marcano and then Marega again.

Neither Crystal Palace or QPR have been linked to players from Porto or Vitória lately. Interestingly, both English sides had scouted the Dragons back in March, so there may be something to be seen there.

It was really Moussa Marega who stole the show, with two decisive goals. But another player who may have impressed the scouts was goalkeeper Augustin Marchesin, who saved Porto from conceding a draw many times.

The other clubs who scouted this match were Manchester United, Liverpool, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Huesca, Ajaccio, Saint Etienne, Toulouse, Fenerbahce, Atalanta and Rapid Vienna.
