As Crystal Palace continue with their chase for Sporting winger Issahaku Fatawu, the Portuguese media today brings the latest news on this pursuit.
Record was the newspaper which, back on Saturday, claimed the Eagles are pursuing the 19-year-old.
Now they’re back today, this time to claim that Crystal Palace have offered €8m for Fatawu.
This amount, however, is considered too low by Sporting. It’s claimed that the Lions want to make €15m with the transfer, keeping 20% of a future sale.
The Lisbon club only own 50% of his rights, and that makes it less likely that they’d give big discounts.
Record writes that Sporting are aware of Crystal Palace’s current financial conditions, as the Selhurst Park side are about to sell Michael Olise to Chelsea, so the talks go on.
The Eagles could even find some competition from Real Valladolid, who are also interested in Fatawu, but the newspaper claims the player isn’t keen on moving to the Spanish second division.
So Crystal Palace have their preference, and just need a few more millions to get that agreement done.
