Sporting Club de Portugal defender Ousmane Diomande is close to joining Crystal Palace, who have made significant progress in transfer talks.
That’s according to Africa Foot, who report that Crystal Palace’s negotiations for the 21-year-old are progressing well.
A report earlier today from Portugal stated that Crystal Palace have targeted the Sporting centre back this summer and were close to reaching a €55m agreement with the Portuguese side.
Africa Foot now follow that up and report that Diomande is heading towards a departure from Sporting at this moment in time.
According to their information, from a source close to the player, Crystal Palace have made significant progress in talks with the Portuguese club over the defender. They are reportedly willing to invest €55-60m to convince Sporting to let the defender leave this summer.
No official agreement has been signed as yet but talks between the two clubs are progressing and believed to be at a very advanced stage at this moment in time.
It will be a major coup for the Eagles if they can get it over the line, particularly with reports linking Marc Guehi with a move away from Selhurst Park.
