Crystal Palace are the latest Premier League side to be linked with Inter Milan defender Davide Santon, if claims in Italy are anything to go by. The former Newcastle United player looks surplus to requirements at Inter Milan, and may need to find a new club this summer.

Calciomercato.it have today claimed there is strong interest from Crystal Palace to sign Santon during this transfer window, although the Italian football site, and the others in the Italian media, have linked the player to various clubs in the past.

Serie A side Sampdoria are keen to take the fullback on loan for the season, but it’s possible he could instead end up back in England. Watford have too been linked with Santon in the past 12 months, with it being claimed they made attempts in the past 2 windows.

Since Roberto Mancini was installed as the Inter Milan coach last year, Santon has seen himself frozen out of the team. Santon made just 12 appearances for Inter Milan in the last campaign, and needs to move away from the San Siro in order to kickstart his career.
