Crystal Palace have reignited their interest in Spezia forward M’Bala Nzola and could get him for cheaper than the €10m they were once quoted.

That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who say the Eagles interest has ‘come back in fashion’ after he started this season in fine form.

The newspaper report that the 26-year-old is ‘back as the protagonist’ this season after finding himself on the edge of the group last year.

He has three goals in eight games in Serie A this season and is undoubtedly on a high after the lows of the last campaign.

And that’s seen interest in him pick up once again, having been followed by Crystal Palace in 2020 when he was valued at €10m.

There was a ‘courtship’ between both parties, but a move never happened but the interest in the striker has ‘come back into fashion.’

There is a belief he is now on the right path after so many ups and downs and Crystal Palace could return to the charge, particularly as he is now valued at around €6m, so €4m cheaper than in the past.

There is no mention of an imminent bid from the Eagles, just that they’ve revived their interest from 2020 and could now get their man cheaper than the price quoted at that point.

Nzola’s name, then, is one to keep an eye on, particularly if he continues to score goals and better his best ever tally of a 11 in a season.
