Crystal Palace have been following Cologne midfielder Ellyes Skhiri ‘strongly’ and his ‘dream’ is to play in the Premier League.
That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who say the Eagles are potential competition to AC Milan for the midfielder’s signature.
They explain that the Italian side have made an offer for the Cologne midfielder in the last few hours, with his contract set to expire on June 30th.
Many clubs see him as a ‘market opportunity’ and Milan have made their move to try and beat the competition to his signature.
They’re not the only ones keen, though, as Crystal Palace have also been ‘following him strongly’ ahead of a potential move this summer.
At the moment Skhiri has asked for time to think about the two offers he has on the table because playing in England is ‘the dream of all footballers’ but the lure of playing for Milan is also there.
Thus, he has delayed a decision on his future until after the international break but then an answer is expected ‘in the coming days’.
Milan have put a €2m a year, three-year deal on the table plus an option for a fourth so Crystal Palace will have to match, or presumably better that offer, if they’re to win the developing race for his signature.
