Three days ago, we covered claims from France that Crystal Palace have made an offer to Marseille to sign Ismaïla Sarr. It was also stated the forward has given his approval and the Premier League side are negotiating personal terms with him for a contract until 2029.
The Senegal international is ‘very close’ to joining Oliver Glasner’s side this summer.
That’s according to L’Equipe, who say the Ligue 1 side have agreed a deal in principle with Crystal Palace to sell Sarr for €14m plus bonuses.
Sarr left Watford for Marseille in July 2023, and will return to England in this window. The report states the agreement with Crystal Palace will see Roberto De Zerbi’s side recover the money they paid to the Hornets a year ago.
The player’s exit will also help them save on his ‘large salary’, but there’s no mention on the details of his current wages.
It’s further claimed Sarr should join Crystal Palace in the ‘next few days’ and sign a five-year deal with the Eagles.
The attacker managed five goals and six assists from 35 games for Marseille last season.
