Robin Pröpper joined Rangers from FC Twente in August 2024 and has been a regular in his debut season at Ibrox.

The Dutchman has played 39 games and even captained Rangers in their 1-1 draw against Dundee FC in January. The defender spent his entire playing career in his home country before joining Rangers.

Feyenoord Pings have covered comments made by Dutch journalist Mounir Boualin about the Rangers player. He has encouraged Feyenoord to ‘make an attempt’ for the 31-year-old in the summer window.

Feyenoord star David Hancko has been linked with a move away from the Eredivisie side after this season. His club teammate, Gernot Trauner, could also change clubs in the next window.

According to the journalist, Robin van Persie’s side should consider a move for Pröpper to improve their defence for next season.

“Maybe a very crazy suggestion, but I would approach Robin Pröpper. To bring that back from Scotland,” he said.

Boualin is of the belief it wouldn’t cost much for the Dutch club to take the centre-back away from Rangers.

“He is old, has experience, is a leech in a positive sense. I like it. He can be important in the dressing room, and I don’t think he is too expensive. At Feyenoord or PSV, I would dare to take him as third choice,” Boualin explained.

It’s to be noted there hasn’t been concrete claims of Feyenoord’s interest in the Rangers player so far and that Boualin is only sharing his views.
