Manchester City are reportedly the latest team to show interest in Juventus right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner. Exclusive news from Calcio Mercato says the first talks have already been held for the transfer to be done.
Pep Guardiola would be looking for a replacement in case the club sell Pablo Zabaleta, and sees Lichtsteiner as a good option. Calcio Mercato says that some intermediates have already made the first contact with Manchester City.
Lichtsteiner is reportedly not happy with the signing of Dani Alves, who’s expected to replace him in his position, and that’s the reason the Swiss international would be looking for another club. Juventus want at least €8m for the 32-year-old.
Just like with any other Juventus player, the Italian media mention Antonio Conte as the main man to battle for the signing.
Wolfsburg and Schalke 04 are also said to be interested, but Lichtsteiner reportedly wants a more powerful club.
