Feyenoord are targeting a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Hugo Bueno, with a loan deal being discussed.
That’s according to 1908.nl, who report that the Dutch side have contacted Wolves about an initial loan deal that might include an option for them to buy him on a permanent basis.
They report that the first contacts between the player, his management and Feyenoord have already been held and it is now up to Wolves and the Dutch side to find an agreement with each other.
Feyenoord see Bueno as an ideal fit for their left wing-back position but also believe that the player could be used as a left centre back.
He’s currently at a training camp in the United States with Wolves but Feyenoord are ‘specifically’ keen on him and working on a deal.
The belief is that the market for rental players normally gets going later in August so there is an expectation that it will take some time before an agreement can be expected. Celtic have also been linked with Bueno, but it is Feyenoord who are currently pushing to try and get him.
It all depends on Wolves’ plans for the player, who currently competes with Rayan Aït-Nouri for the left-back position, and it seems they’ve yet to make their stance clear.
