While there may be some conflicting reports about where AS Monaco’s Fabinho could end up, but the general consensus is that the right-back will be leaving the principality.
The Brazil international has spent the past three seasons with the Ligue 1 side, developing into a clearly talented player, and now could be the time for Monaco to sell him on for a profit and allow him to play in a bigger league.
We mentioned conflicting reports because over the weekend, Gianluca Di Marzio claimed Manchester United still want the right-back following last summer’s interest, yet everyone else seems to suggest Manchester City are those in the race for Fabinho.
Going along with this, Le10 Sport report on Wednesday, as an exclusive, that three teams have made proposals to Monaco for their starting right-back: Napoli, Atlético Madrid and Manchester City.
The French website state the player will probably make his decision quickly, which would then allow the Ligue 1 side to replace him with either Benjamin Mendy (a left-back, which doesn’t really make sense) or Lille’s Djibril Sidibé.
Believe who you want, but Fabinho looks very close to be getting a transfer.
