It’s no secret that Bayern Munich have been having some difficulty appointing their new manager, as options like Xabi Alonso and Ralf Rangnick aren’t keen on taking the job.
Now according to reports fresh from the Italian media, the Bundesliga giants have set their eyes on the boss of Brighton & Hove Albion.
TuttoMercatoWeb today writes that Bayern Munich are moving forward to sign Roberto De Zerbi, having ‘intensified contacts’ to bring him to Germany.
It’s said those ‘concrete steps’ took place on Thursday, with some contact made with the Brighton coach’s entourage.
According to the report, there will be further work for a ‘definitive agreement’ with the manager in the coming days.
Now despite TuttoMercatoWeb’s strong claims, it must be pointed that not all the Italian media has the same information. Daniele Longo, who’s a journalist for Calcio Mercato, writes on Twitter that De Zerbi is a ‘cold track’ for Bayern Munich.
The German media is still to say something about that chase as well, so it’s just TMW out there alone at this point.
