Dele Alli could be given a ‘Serie A opportunity’ in the summer once he returns to Everton from his unsuccessful loan spell at Besiktas.
That’s according to Calciomercatoweb.it, who say the player has always been the ‘forbidden dream’ of several sides in Italy.
They explain that Alli’s career has not gone how many expected it would when he was shining at Tottenham, with his loan spell at Besiktas from Everton the latest in a series of slumps for him.
That deal has culminated in him falling out of favour in Turkey, with the latest report stating that he is set to spend time on the sidelines until he’s shipped back to Everton at the end of the season.
They’re not likely to want him either, with Frank Lampard sending him packing in the summer and Sean Dyche unlikely to have a different opinion, particularly as he could end up costing the Toffees a fortune down the line.
Everton are far more likely to want to secure an exit for him and that’s where Serie A could come into the picture.
CM Web state that there are ‘hypothetical proposals’ in the pipeline for Alli, with AC Milan and Inter Milan potentially eyeing him as his cost ‘might not be too high’ given his continued downfall.
They’d see the former star as a ‘low-budget opportunity’, particularly as they need to secure low cost signings in the summer.
At the moment there is nothing concrete, but the idea is there nonetheless and something that could develop once he’s back at Goodison Park.
