AS Roma’s contact with Leeds for defender Rasmus Kristensen is ‘insistent’ and he is expected to move to the Italian capital ‘shortly’.
That’s according to Il Romanista, who follow up reports yesterday that Roma were working to try and bring him to the club alongside Diego Llorente.
Jose Mourinho’s side completed a deal for Llorente to return on loan to the club today, but he is not the only Leeds player they have been targeting, with Kristensen also on their list.
Journalist Gianluca di Marzio reported yesterday that once the deal for Llorente had been done the two clubs would be working on a move for the right-back and it seems they want that done quickly.
Il Romanista report that the Danish full back is ‘expected in the capital shortly’ with Roma holding ‘insistent’ contacts with Leeds over the transfer.
They’ve already secured an okay from the player, who has been in favour of the move since the get go and is only waiting for an agreement between the two clubs before making the switch.
Like Llorente he will move from Elland Road on loan, and Voce Giallorossa state that the conditions of his possible move are yet to be worked out.
Roma’s director of football Tiago Pinto is keen to spend as little money as possible as he needs as much money as possible to use on securing a midfielder and a striker.
Kristensen is seen as ideal as he can play at right back and right-midfield, thus adding needed depth to the squad at a low cost.
